This automation tool is an advanced find and report tool. Its primary objective was to improve on the find tool already built into Expedition.
The basic idea is to be able to filter and sort the lists of objects any way you want, then have quick and easy access to everything associated with a selected object. For example, find all nets with the letters ‘TX’ in the net name, then select one of them. The Expedition window zooms to the extents of the net and it’s highlighted. All the components, vias, pins, and test point attached to the net are listed. You can then click on any of these objects in any list to select and zoom the view to that object.
Same with each tab – Components, Vias, Pins, Traces, Test Points. Filter and sort any way you want, then see and be able to select and zoom to any related object.
