Drawing Notes is a tool that makes creating, editing, and placing PCB Fabrication and Assembly notes much easier than typing them out manually or copying and pasting from another design.

  • Note configuration data is stored in a text file.
  • Each note has default text
  • Note option items such as material, color, specification number are configurable for each note. Options are selected from a drop-down list by the user when notes are being added to the drawing.
  • Note numbering is automatic.
  • Note order can be rearranged by dragging and dropping the note items.
  • Notes can be turned on or off. Numbering updates automatically.
  • Notes can be flagged or not by turning a switch on or off.
  • Custom notes can be added.
  • There are many built-in flag styles, and you can add your own.
  • Any text on the drawing, such as a number used for a note callout, can have a flag added to it.
  • The tool has functions for adding leaders with custom text or flag note callouts. The leaders, stubs, and number/flag objects follow the cursor when placed and switch right / left and up / down depending on where the cursor is relative to the arrow endpoint location.
  • Different note schemes are stored for PCB Fabrication and Assembly.
